Giovanni Molari
University of Bologna, Italy

Giovanni Molari has a master degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bologna (1998) and a PhD in Engineering of Materials at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (2003). He is currently full professor at the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences of the University of Bologna, where he worked as Associate professor (2010-2015), and as researcher (2000-2010). His research activity focuses on the design and experimental validation of the reliability of agricultural tractors and machines with particular reference to accelerated test of machines and transmissions. He coordinated several research projects, in particular two PRIN (Progetti di Ricerca di Interesse Nazionale - Research Projects of National Interest) and one FIRB (Programma Futuro in Ricerca - Future in Research Program) financed by the Italian government, and numerous research contracts with tractor and agricultural machine enterprises. He authored more than 130 manuscripts of which 32 indexed on Scopus. He is chief editor of the Journal of Agricultural Engineering from 2014, where he was managing editor for the 2006-2014 period. He is vice director of the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences of the University of Bologna since the 2015.
